
The upper part of this combo photo shows Duguimaa (C) and her daughter Chagaanchuluu (L) posing for a group photo in front of their Mongolian yurt at Siziwang Banner, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. At that time, Duguimaa and her family members were in charge of raising hundreds of sheep for local rural production team. Without wages, the family lived on allocated coupons, barely enough for rice and wheat flour. The lower part of the combo photo taken by Zou Yu in 2018 shows 76-year-old Duguimaa (R) and her daughter Chagaanchuluu posing for a photo in the residential area where they live. In 2009, Duguimaa left the pasturing area and moved to a 75-square-meter apartment allocated by local government in Wulanhua Town of Siziwang Banner.
