My name is Anne K. Abbott, and I've been painting since I was 3 years old. Because I was born with Cerebral Palsy, it was difficult for me to hold a brush, so instead I started using my index finger. Through years of practice I developed my artistic skills. Now my repertoire consists of portraits and landscapes and flowers and nudes and animals and abstracts.
In my art I try to represent my own ideals such as social justice and the freedom of being naked. I also put some of my own life experiences in my art. Often you will see my dear late husband Rob in my paintings or my two cats Hershey and Rascal, or my old cat Dandylion who was the inspiration for my business name.
Every Saturday at St. Lawrence Market I sit and visit with my customers. I display my paintings as well as my cards and calendars, etc. Most of my merchandise is here for you to peruse and order at will. I hope you like it!
