Wang Yuan, a member of Chinese music band TFBOYS, initiated a "holding pens with your lips" contest on his Sina Weibo (a Chinese micro blogging website) account on July 4, 2015. Wang posted a photo showing him holding three pens with lips pursed up. In order to win praise from their idol, lots of fans followed suit and posted a variety of funny photos.
