Beijing introduces new regulations on June 1 requiring all indoor public places - and many outdoor public places - to be 100 percent smoke free. The legislation is seen as the toughest anti-smoking law in China's history.

The government has hung no-smoking banners on Beijing's National Stadium. The banners on the National Stadium, more popularly known as the Bird's Nest, quickly caught the attention of Chinese Netizens. Sina Weibo is abuzz with jokes that the Bird's Nest looks like a giant ashtray.
