In Ganzhou district of Zhangye city, northwest China's Gansu Province, rows of cherry tomatoes in a smart agricultural industrial park have recently entered their peak harvest season. Inside the park's intelligent glass greenhouses, verdant vines wind along vertical cultivation racks, their branches laden with ripe fruit as workers pick, sort and pack the tomatoes for delivery to markets nationwide.

Covering an area of 355 mu (about 23.67 hectares), the park features 100,000 square meters of semi-enclosed greenhouses equipped with advanced soilless cultivation technology for growing cherry tomatoes.

With an expected annual yield of 2,800 tonnes, the produce is primarily sold to cities in central, eastern and coastal China. The project has not only generated substantial economic gains but also created job opportunities for local villagers close to home.
