BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Senior Chinese official He Lifeng met with Joseph Bae, co-CEO of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., in Beijing on Tuesday.
He, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs, said that the Chinese economy has continued its stable and sound performance this year, and China is confident about and capable of realizing the annual growth target.
The fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee last month outlined the blueprint for China's development of the next five years, which will vigorously contribute to global economic growth, He said.
China welcomes investors from other countries to do business in China, and to share in opportunities arising from China's economic development, He said.
Bae expressed full confidence in the prospects of China's economic development, as well as his willingness to expand investment and cooperation further in China.
