China-France political parties dialogue held in Beijing
BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The China-France political parties dialogue took place in the Chinese capital on Thursday, with the theme of "Mutual Trust, Cooperation and Win-Win Outcomes: China-France Ties Facing the Next 60 Years."
Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, outlined the guiding principles from the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
Noting that China-France relations have steered onto the fast track under the guidance of the two countries' leaders since the new era, Liu said the CPC is willing to work with major French political parties to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen mutual learning of experience in state governance, and promote the healthy and stable development of China-France relations.
French participants in this dialogue said they were glad to see the clear message sent by the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to continue promoting high-standard opening up, and expressed their willingness to work with China to strengthen mutual investment, uphold strategic independence and achieve win-win development.
The dialogue attendees, more than 40 in total, included representatives from relevant Chinese departments and think tanks, members of the French Renaissance Party, the Republican Party, the Socialist Party, the Horizons Party, the Union of Democrats and Independents, the head of the Prospective and Innovation Foundation, officials from the French Embassy in China, and members of the French business community in China.
