Recently, the yield measurement results from over 2,000 mu (about 133.33 hectares) demonstration fields under the Zhaodong experimental station of the China Agricultural University was revealed. The maize field recorded a per-mu (about 667 square meters) yield of 1,044 kilograms, making "ton-grain field" for three consecutive years, along with steadily increasing output.
The Zhaodong experimental station, located at Dongsheng Village of Zhaodong, is an integrated base for industrial, academic, and research purposes jointly established by China Agricultural University and Zhaodong City. The station has been focusing on tackling key technological challenges in modern agriculture since its establishment in July 2022.
