9-year-old pump track champion chases speed and Olympic dreams

In this episode of "The Youth," follow Michael Kurtagh from the U.S. while he visits the Shenyang International Pump Track Park in Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning province.

During his visit, Michael enjoyed a short training session with Sun Xiaoxiao. Though only 9 years old, the Shenyang local is already a pump track riding national champion, having won the final of the 2024 China Pump Track Bicycle League. Despite over 80 falls and a scar on her jaw, Sun has never thought about giving up. With her family's support, she continues to chase the thrill of speed as she pursues her ultimate goal of becoming an Olympic champion.
