Symposium in Laos marks 80th anniversary of China's victory over Japanese aggression

VIENTIANE, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Laos and the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce held a symposium to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The event was held on Thursday in the Lao capital Vientiane.
Speaking at the event, Chinese Ambassador to Laos Fang Hong emphasized the importance of remembering the history, cherishing peace, and jointly safeguarding international fairness and justice, calling for advancing the building of a China-Laos community with a shared future.
Yao Bin, president of the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce, called for deepening China-Laos relations and striving for global peace and development.
