China's express delivery sector sustains robust growth in first 7 months

BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- China's express delivery sector handled 112.05 billion parcels in the first seven months of 2025, up 18.7 percent year on year, official data showed on Thursday.
The country's postal industry handled a total of 122.3 billion parcels during the period, representing a 16.2 percent increase from a year earlier, according to the State Post Bureau.
From January to July, the postal industry's business revenue totaled nearly 1.02 trillion yuan (about 142.98 billion U.S. dollars), which was up 8.3 percent year on year. Specifically, express delivery revenue came in at 839.42 billion yuan, rising 9.9 percent.
Same-city express deliveries amounted to 9.26 billion parcels during the period, up 6.5 percent year on year, while inter-city deliveries rose 19.9 percent to 100.43 billion parcels.
