China adjusts unreliable entity list measures on certain U.S. firms: ministry
BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's commerce ministry announced Tuesday that the country has continued to suspend or removed related unreliable entity list measures on certain U.S. entities from Tuesday.
China added 17 U.S. entities to its unreliable entity list on April 4 and 9, prohibiting these firms from engaging in import and export activities related to China and making new investments in the country.
To implement the consensus reached during the high-level China-U.S. economic and trade meeting, the unreliable entity list measures placed on April 4 have been suspended for an additional 90 days, while measures announced on April 9 have been removed, according to the ministry.
Domestic companies may apply to conduct transactions with these entities, and the unreliable entity list work mechanism will review the applications and approve the eligible ones, it said.
