A spectacular cultural performance blending traditional culture and modern artistry, named "The Celestial Maiden Scattering Flowers," is creating a cultural tourism sensation in Luoyi Ancient City, located in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province.
The performance is inspired by a classic Buddhist story that involves a celestial maiden showering Bodhisattvas and their disciples with petals to test their cultivation.
Suspended in midair, the dancer vividly recreates the grace described in the ancient prose poem "Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River"—"as graceful as a startled swan goose, as supple as a swimming dragon"—transporting audiences across millennia into a world of poetic romance.
