Nanping Village, once a declined village as residents left to seek works elsewhere, has regained vitality thanks to the renovation efforts by local authorities.

Dilapidated old houses were transformed into stylish homestays and cafes, while areas around the stream in the village was developed into a summer retreat and camping site.
