Chinese embassy reminds citizens in Thailand to follow safety advisory on Thai-Cambodian borders
BANGKOK, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese embassy in Thailand issued an advisory for Chinese citizens in Thailand on Thursday to follow safety instructions regarding the border areas of Thailand and Cambodia.
The embassy referred to the information released by the Tourism Authority of Thailand that tourists should avoid traveling to the relevant areas of seven Thai border provinces with Cambodia, given the current situation of the Thai-Cambodian borders.
The embassy advises Chinese citizens in Thailand to closely monitor the evolving situation, pay attention to risk alerts issued by the Thai authorities, and take appropriate safety precautions. In case of emergency, Chinese citizens are advised to promptly contact the local police and reach out to the Chinese embassy in Thailand or the Chinese consulate-general in Khon Kaen.
