Yongding district in Longyan city of southeast China's Fujian Province is home to over 23,000 Fujian Tulou, the unique earthen dwellings built between the 15th and 20th centuries. It boasts the largest number of these iconic structures in China.
In recent years, the district has integrated Tulou with the cultural industry by collaborating with game studios, performing arts groups, and others to create cultural projects set against the backdrop of these buildings. This initiative has injected fresh vitality into Fujian Tulou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
