MEXICO CITY, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Wednesday that organized crime exists extensively in the United States as it does in Mexico.
"Organized crime exists not only in Mexico, but also in U.S. cities where fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine are sold," Sheinbaum said at a daily press conference.
Sheinbaum added that most of the illegal drug market and profits are concentrated in the United States.
The ongoing cooperation with U.S. authorities is based on mutual respect for sovereignty, she said, adding that each country acts within its own territory and they share intelligence.
