TUNIS, June 25 (Xinhua) -- As part of the 25th Arab Radio and Television Festival, a Chinese audiovisual works presentation was held Tuesday in Yasmine Hammamet, a resort town in northeast Tunisia.
More than 100 Chinese audiovisual works, including TV series, documentaries and cartoons, were exhibited at the event.
"China's audiovisual industry is constantly impressing the world with its innovation, progress and cutting-edge technology," said Abdelrahim Suleiman, director general of the Arab State Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
According to Suleiman, ASBU is communicating and cooperating with Chinese friends in key areas, such as high-tech audiovisual production and content digitization, paying special attention to the application of artificial intelligence in audiovisual production.
"I believe that there will be many other fruitful audiovisual cooperation projects between Arabs and China in the future," Suleiman said.
A Chinese delegate said that the event aims to encourage and support Chinese audiovisual organizations to expand cooperation with Arab countries in copyright trade and content production. Chinese side looks forward to deepening cooperation with ASBU and other mainstream media platforms from Arab countries, introducing more excellent Chinese film and television works to the Arab market, while welcoming more selected Arab works to enter China.
More than 30 representatives of Chinese audiovisual organizations participated in the event.
