Paramilitary officer killed in IED blast in India's Odisha

NEW DELHI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- A junior-level paramilitary officer of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the eastern Indian state of Odisha, police said.
The blast was triggered Saturday by rebel Naxals in Sundargarh district, about 300 km north of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.
Authorities have rushed additional reinforcements to the area to take on Naxals.
