Peking opera performance shows off Chinese culture on reality show

The latest episode of the Chinese reality show Chengfeng 2023 featured Zhang Shujing, an actor who plays female roles in Peking opera. She played the character of Mu Guiying, a Mulan-like figure widely known among Chinese, in a song and dance performance.

She said that she could tell that the audience really liked her performance and she hopes more and more young people will fall in love with Chinese opera and tradition culture.
