

Ning’er County has taken the lead in carrying out poverty alleviation work, while Zhenyuan, Jinggu, Menglian, and Ximeng counties have passed third-party on-spot evaluation and inspection. Since 2012, the number of underprivileged people in Pu’er has reduced by 488,700, dropping from 648,500 to 159,800. Meanwhile, the incidence of poverty has dropped from 30.4% to 8.12%, and 410 of the 761 underprivileged villages have been excluded from the list of poverty-stricken villages.
