Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui have attended a signing ceremony and held a joint briefing after talks on Wednesday.
Jhinaoui is paying an official visit to China from July 17 to 21, at the invitation of Wang Yi. This is his first visit to China since he took office and this is also a visit in return to Wang Yi's visit to Tunisia in May last year.
Both sides signed an agreement on the establishment of a consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministries. They exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen cooperation.
They also agreed to step up strategic cooperation through the Belt and Road Initiative. The two sides said they believe that the Libya crisis should be resolved through political dialogue.
