
BEIJING, June 13 -- Premier Li Keqiang on Monday offered condolences to the United States after a fatal shooting in Orlando, Florida, early on Sunday.
"China opposes terrorist action in all forms," Li said in a joint press conference after his talks with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Great Hall of the People.
Li expressed condolences for the victims, extended deep sympathy to their families, and hoped for the speedy and safe recovery of those who were wounded.
Merkel said she was shocked by the incident, and expressed condolences and sympathy, on behalf of Germany, to the victims and their families.
Li and Merkel co-chaired the fourth round of China-Germany intergovernmental consultation on Monday morning.
