The overall strength of China’s navy has exceeded Japan’s, military expert Zhang Ming told Qianjiang Evening Daily.

“With increasing national power, Chinese military power has been growing,” said Zhang.

In terms of long-range air defense ships, Japan has six Aegis-class warships while China has 11 Aegis-class warships and four ships to be constructed. Japan has four intermediate-range air defense ships but China has eight intermediate-range air defense ships.
