Beijing, Feb.12, 2015 (People's Daily Online) - Next week, the Chinese people will be celebrating the Spring Festival, which also announces the New Year, the Year of Sheep.

人民網(wǎng)北京2月12日電（袁燦）下周，中國人民將迎來羊年春節(jié)。

Looking around us, and just from many activities that have taken place within Beijing, we will be invited to reception. After the reception, in honor of the Spring Festival, and the New Year of the Sheep that is coming. And that shows that how important that this period is to people of China.

我們使館的工作人員也受邀參加各種新年招待會。從這一點也能看出春節(jié)在中國人心目中的地位。

They want so much to spend this time with their people, their families who maybe they have not seen for months. And so this is a very special time for home coming and celebrations.

由于工作或學習的原因，一些家庭在一年中很少能夠團聚。所以他們非常希望能夠在春節(jié)期間團聚在一起。因此春節(jié)也是家庭聚會的大好時候。

I would really like to wish everyone in China a happy New Year and that they will enjoy the Spring Festival.
