The Spring Festival is just around the corner. On behalf of the Foreign Ministry, I extend my greetings to the compatriots and netizens who have shown interests in and support to China's diplomacy.

We have gone through difficulties and effectively safeguarded China's sovereignty, security and development interests in 2014. We have deepened the relationship with our friends and become more influential on the international stage. We hosted the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in November as part of our successful “host diplomacy”, showing the glamour of our nation and the wisdom of our people. We are always concerned with the safety of more than 100 million Chinese people who went abroad in 2014. Here, I would like to express my sincere thanks to our people for their understanding and support to China's diplomacy in 2014.

We diplomats should do our nation proud, assume our duties for our nation and serve the interests of our people. We will take our responsibilities and work diligently to live up to the expectations of our people and the "Chinese Dream".
