BEIJING, Oct. 28 -- China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) will set up circuit courts for major administrative, civil and commercial cases involving different administrative regions, according to a decision from the Communist Party of China (CPC) meeting.
The decision on major issues concerning comprehensively advancing rule of law was approved during the fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee last week. Full text of the meeting was released Tuesday.
The move will facilitate public filing of lawsuits from local communities and help solve conflicts at a local level, President Xi Jinping said in another document explaining the decision, which was also publicized on Tuesday.
It will also allow the SPC headquarters to concentrate on judicial policies and try important cases that have profound guiding significance in unifying the application of law, Xi was quoted as saying.
