Border for Doctors, a four-episode TV documentary on China's medical aid to Africa in the past 55 years made a splash after being broadcast on August 19, the first Medical Workers' Day of China. The documentary mirrors China’s achievements of medical aid in Africa in a comprehensive manner, and tells the touching stories of Chinese medical workers in Africa who created numerous miracles risking their lives in front of plagues, dangers, and even disasters.
The 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), with unprecedented scale and global attention, was bound to lift China-Africa comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new high, written by Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in a signed article published on People’s Daily on Thursday. The summit, scheduled to be held on September 3 and 4 in Beijing, would be a historic event for China and Africa to deepen traditional friendship and strengthen strategic cooperation, underlined by Wang.
The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) was in place for the relationship between the two parties, and Sino-African cooperation was a win-win cooperation, said Liberian President George Weah during an interview before kicking off his Chinese visit, during which he would attend the two-day FOCAC Beijing Summit to be opened on September 3. To strengthen the cooperation was the best choice for both China and Africa, the pair of good friends and good partners, Weah noted.
