My name is Anne K. Abbott, and I've been painting since I was three years old. Because I was born with Cerebral Palsy (a condition that affects the brain's motor control), it was difficult for me to hold a brush, so instead I started using my index finger. Through years of practice I developed my artistic skills. Now my repertoire consists of portraits and landscapes and flowers and nudes and animals and abstracts.

In my art I try to represent my own ideals, as well as the raw honesty of being who I am and what I've experienced in my life. Often you will see my dear late husband Rob in my paintings. Also featured in my artwork are my beloved cats: Hershey, Rascal, Sherlock, Watson, Frida Zappa - or my very first cat Dandylion who was the inspiration for my business name. (Annie's Dandy Note Cards and Artwork.)

Ever since 2002, I've been going to St. Lawrence Market in Toronto, Ontario, every Saturday, where I display my paintings as well as my cards and calendars, etc. Most of my merchandise is here for you to see and order.

Thank you for your interest in my artwork.

16 Painting In Soho Square

Anne liked to go to Soho Square and do some painting. She decided to do a painting of the buildings across the street.
